The Role
This is not a traditional sales role. You’ll be embedded in the most technically ambitious conversations in Web3: working directly with founders, CTOs, researchers, and institutional players shaping the next generation of blockchain systems.
You’ll represent one of the most respected security brands in crypto globally, with the autonomy to identify opportunities, build trusted long-term partnerships, and drive strategic engagements from first conversation to execution.
You’ll operate at the intersection of technical expertise, high-stakes relationship building, and strategic dealmaking. Acting as a force multiplier between ChainSecurity’s world-class researchers and the teams building the future of finance and crypto infrastructure.
The ideal profile combines technical depth, commercial instinct, and intellectual curiosity. You should be comfortable discussing protocol architecture and attack surfaces with engineers, while also understanding incentives, stakeholder dynamics, and how strategic decisions get made.

- You have a deep understanding of the technical/financial mechanisms driving DeFi and Web3.
- You have a wide knowledge of the DeFi market & market forces
- You understand the software development lifecycle and can relate naturally to technical founders, protocol engineers, and CTOs.

- You enjoy solving complex problems as much as meeting people and building a network.
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset and operate with high ownership and autonomy.
- You are organized, proactive, and have a strong work ethic.
Commercial and Communication skills
- You combine technical credibility with strong commercial instincts. You enjoy building relationships, managing deal processes, and winning deals.
- You communicate complex ideas clearly and adapt naturally to different audiences, from engineers to executives.
- You enjoy public-facing work, both IRL and online, 1-on-1 or on stage.
Examples of relevant backgrounds
- Technical Founder;
- or 2+ years in Web3/DeFi in a technical, research, product, protocol, or risk-related role;
- or 2+ years experience in cybersecurity (with strong involvement or interest in Web3/DeFi);
- or 2+ years in finance or institutional markets (with strong involvement or interest in Web3/DeFi);
- or other relevant technical/financial experience
Basic requirements
- Fluent English
- Strong preference for candidates based in Zurich (Switzerland) or willing to relocate
- Ability to manage an international travel schedule
What will you do?
Build relationships and close deals
- Build, maintain, and grow relationships with top technical founders and engineers across Web3.
- Lead technical-commercial sales processes from first conversation to signed engagement, in close collaboration with our security engineers.
- Develop long-term trusted relationships with clients and keep them closely connected to the broader ChainSecurity network and ecosystem.
Bridge technical and commercial worlds
- Work closely with our engineers and leadership to understand client needs and design tailored security solutions.
- Translate complex technical challenges into clear strategic recommendations for clients.
- Become a trusted security advisor to leading Web3 teams
- Help improve internal processes, positioning, and the way ChainSecurity operates by combining deep market awareness, technical understanding, and effective use of AI tools and automation.
Become a top representative of ChainSecurity
- Represent us at conferences and private events across the world.
- Translate our engineers’ expertise, research, and achievements into narratives and content that resonate with the market.
- Help strengthen ChainSecurity’s visibility, reputation, and positioning within the industry.
Market intelligence and strategy
- Stay ahead of market trends and promising opportunities across Web3.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the ecosystem and contribute actively to ChainSecurity’s long-term strategic thinking and commercial direction
